About Bay County Criminal History

Bay County criminal records are divided among the Sheriff’s Records Division, the county courts, the Michigan State Police Criminal Justice Information Center, the Michigan Department of Corrections, and the Michigan Public Sex Offender Registry. We built this private reference resource to make that split easier to understand and to route readers to the official portal, counter, address, or phone line that holds the record they need.

Why We Built This Site

Michigan provides several public routes to justice records, but each route answers a different question. Bay County Sheriff Records keeps completed incident reports and directs current-custody inquiries. The 74th District Court and 18th Circuit Court maintain charge, hearing, disposition, and sentence files. The Michigan State Police Criminal Justice Information Center operates the statewide criminal-history repository and ICHAT public name search. MDOC operates OTIS for state custody and supervision, while MSP manages the Michigan Public Sex Offender Registry. This resource brings the verified contacts, fees, limits, and request steps for those offices into a clear local framework.
